Taxi Dispatch
To start using the Taxi Dispatch system you must log in through your tracking application at http://www.gouldelectronics.co.uk/tracking-login.htm. The product is designed to be used with Mozilla Firefox.
The package is designed to store customer names. pick ups and drop offs. When you type in any field of the customer, pick up and drop off entry fields you will be given options from records stored in the past. It is important to enter the information accurately and neatly as what you get out of the system is what you put in.
Please note, the Taxi Despatch software is supplied as a free of charge package for Gould Electronics customers with compatible radio equipment. Please report any bugs or wishes to faults@gouldelectronics.co.uk as this is product is still being developed.
FIND- If the location you need is not found in your database(no or incorrect suggestion in the drop down box), enter the info you have (town, part of street, postcode), click the FIND button, to search an external database of locations for suggestions.
GO- The location you have selected is shown on the map as "pickup" or "dropoff", click the GO button to centre the map on this location.
CLEAR- Clear the info from the location or customer boxes, ready to start a new search or add new data.
When initially entering locations you will not have many in your database and will need to add them. You can do this yourself or by doing a look up. To do a look up type in part of the address .ie. Address 1 and then press find. You will be given a list of pre-validated address's which you can choose from.
Once you have filled the boxes as above you need to select the time and date of the job (it defaults to current time and date) then select addjob
To dispatch a job select it from the list headed "Jobs for Selected Day" and click the left mouse button.
The details of the job will be shown along with a pre filled "Text to Send" box. (You may change this text if required)
Select the ID of the radio to send the job to and click "Send"
