Switching the radio on
To switch the radio on, turn the On/Off-Volume control to about one third of its maximum setting. You may need to re-adjust the volume when you receive your first call
The SVC (service) indicator will normally glow within a few seconds. If it does not, you may be outside your network’s coverage area.
Using the Microphone and PTT key
During a call, use the PTT key to switch the
radio between receive and transmit modes. Press the PTT key to talk, release it to listen.
The TX indicator glows during transmission.
To make a call on the T2035
Use the Despatcher
key to call the base or the numeric keys to enter the ID number of the radio you want to call,
Press the Call
key to initiate the call or briefly sqeeze the PTT.
The Fn key is set to make a group call(if paid for on your tariff)
When you receive a call you will hear two tones This is a Direct Call. When the GO indicator lights, lift the microphone and respond to your caller.
If the call is from a location that is programmed as a preset for your radio, then the appropriate preset ID will show.
Call Queuing
Use the memory features described below to reestablish earlier calls and return unanswered calls.
When an incoming call finishes, your radio stores the caller’s number. The ID flashes on the display of the T2035.
To return the call, press the the Call
key . Wait for the GO indicator to light, and proceed as usual. You are also able to initiate a callback by squeezing the PTT key briefly.
The last number you called is also stored in your radio’s memory. To call that number again, press the PTT key.
If your radio is in callback mode, press the Clear
key to discard the callback ID before redialling.
Your T2035 may be programmed to queue up to 20 unanswered call IDs.
To access the queue, press the Queue
key and hold the Despatcher
key for approximately one second. The QUEUE indicator will light. Press the Despatcher
key again to leave the queue. In queue mode, press the Queue key to scroll through the list of IDs. When you reach the end of the list, the radio will beep and reverse the scrolling direction. To return a call to any of the listed IDs, press the PTT key or the Call
key when that ID is displayed. To delete an ID from the list, press the Clear
key.
Your radio is programmed with a timer that limits the length of transmissions. The radio will sound a warning before it stops transmitting.
Your radio can be reset by switching the radio off, holding the PTT button in on the microphone, switching the radio with the PTT button still help in the releasing the PTT button 5 seconds after the beeps have stopped.
